Sailing is our major activity - Cruiser racing  Wednesdays and Sundays, May to September, Dinghy racing Thursdays and Saturdays in summer and we usually have a Frostbite series on every 2nd Sunday over the winter. Our Cruisers usually fit in a few away trips also, with an annual trip to Portmadoc always high on the agenda. See Sailing Section for more details. After a days sailing, its always a bonus to relax over a few drinks in our friendly clubhouse.

The bar is the main area of activity in the Club and we have 2 wheelchair accessible rooms available for functions/use - the Bar/Dance area and the Round Ireland room, with overall capacity of c.200 persons (up to 100 seated ). We have a well equipped kitchen to provide meals or snacks. There are male and female toilets/showers and a wheelchair accessible toilet  The bar is open  Sunday afternoons , Saturday and Wednesday evenings during the summer months (May -Aug) and on  Sunday the rest of the year, usually from 5.30pm.

Every alternate year we host the Round Ireland Yacht Race (since 1980), bringing serious sailors from Ireland and abroad to our little harbour hoping to win the Race or at least get around in one piece, an achievement in itself. We also host a annual  Cruiser Regatta in every August Bank Holiday which is open to all

Visiting yachts are expected to berth on the East pier, as the Commercial Harbour is often busy with unloading ships or fishing vessels. Permission can be sought from the Harbour Master in the event of North Easterlies to berth up river on 0404 67455 (Mon-Fri 9-5). There are showers and bar facilities available in Wicklow Sailing Club.
